Here's my first card made with the March SSS card kit. I started with some kraft cardstock for the base and decided on a top folding card style. I cut a small strip of the pink patterned paper and attached it 1/2" from the bottom. The green gingham paper is backed with a foam panel that layers on top. This gives the card some dimension and interest because now it's not flat. I used a couple of label stickers one on top of another and stamped the Thanks word in the middle. This was a little tricky because the labels are glossy and the ink easily smears.
I was careful to let it dry before I wrapped some gold cord around the top a few times and tied a double bow. I had a rustic wood heart element in my stash so I attached it with some strong glue right in the center of the bows. It's a simple card, for me at least, but I think it will be nice to have on hand when I need a thank you in a hurry.
I carried the pink color and flower theme to the inside panel with a sticker of blooming rain boots.
So, that ends today's post with my first card. See you tomorrow!
