Heading To The Finish Line

Olympic Creative Challenge #4 is all about speed, getting to the finish line.  Pushing our creative limits to the edge.  We are required to create and finish a card in 20 minutes!  That will really be a challenge for me.  At least I thought and planned it out ahead of time.  I've been wanting to use the radiating rays stencil and do a rainbow ink pattern so I got out all the supplies and hit the stopwatch on my phone.

Once I laid down my paper and taped the stencil on top, it was pretty easy.  I used Distress Oxide inks; Candied Apple, Picked Raspberry, Orange Marmalade, Wild Honey, Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers and Wilted Violet.  I die cut the finished panel with the rounded rectangle from Blueprints 31 and also used the circle die to create my shaker window.

I had some rose gold mirror paper and die cut the word hugs.  It really stands out against the colors.  Some sparkly glitter inside the shaker completed the card.  Of course it's easy to have an idea in your head about a card design but the execution of it doesn't always evolve the same way.  Since I was timing my project I needed to stay focused and on track.

So, I finished all 4 events of the Creative Olympic Challenge.  Yea!!!  Medals will be awarded on Thursday, the 22nd.

Gold medal: $100 MFT Voucher — One winner randomly selected from participants that complete all 4 events.

Silver medals: $50 MFT Voucher — One winner randomly selected from each event.

Bronze medals: $15 MFT Voucher — Winners randomly selected from Olympic Park Q&A events.

Of course I'm going for the GOLD medal.  All the shopping possibilities of a $100 gift voucher.  I'm off to make my wish list.
