MFT Sketch and Color Challenge

I'm doing a 2 for 1 post today.  Both challenges for My Favorite Things is approaching the deadline and I decided to make one card featuring both challenges.
Sketch Challenge 344 #mftstamps

The stitched edge is a die that I have been wanting and finally ordered it.  I literally waited by the mailbox as the package was due to arrive today.  I had my card ready to go except for the panel I needed with the angled edge.

I finished the card and took my photos.  The lighting doesn't do the card justice.  I should have picked a different background to photograph the card.  Anyway, I like how it turned out.  I stamped one of the flowers from the new Plentiful Petals stamp set with Green-eyed Monster ink and used Purple Rain ink for the centers.  The running sentiment strip is from the All Smiles set stamped with Factory Green ink.  I thought this was an unusual color combination but sometimes it's good to work outside your comfort zone.

The angled panel is Grout Gray.  Although I have the Purple Rain ink, I do not have any cardstock that color, so I improvised with a close match.  The smile word was die cut 5 times and stacked one on top of each other to give the card some dimension.

Sometimes these challenges can be well, challenging.  I get my inspiration from lots of places. Card companies usually have a great design team who use their products in interesting ways so they are a source I tend to check out.  Thanks for stopping by!
