Magnificent Masking

I've taken this challenge very seriously.  I'm actually recreating a card that I made a couple of years ago.  I stamped MFT's Hello Sunshine girl on a plain white cardstock panel.  Then I used some masking material to stamp the same image and then very carefully cut around the girl.

See all the intricate areas to cut around; the flower petals, her hair and the flower stem.  The mask paper has a release sheet and the back of the mask has a low tack adhesive.  I placed the mask over the stamped area and then taped the Radient Rays stencil over the entire paper panel.  I used Fossilized Amber and Spiced Marmalade Distress inks to cover the stencil area.  I then removed the stencil and sponged some additional ink around the girl's body, still leaving the mask on.

When I peeled off the mask, the stamped girl underneath was completely white, like the original panel.  This makes it seem like the girl is standing in front of the sun rays.  I colored her with Copic makers and used a white gel pen to make tiny dots on her dress and hat.  Isn't she adorable!
Here's my earned badge for the mask challenge.
