I promised to show you another card using Stampin' Up!'s Dragonfly Dreams die cuts. Here you go.
Again, I had trouble photographing this card. I can assure you it's stunning! I wanted a wow factor because I made this card for my excellent, dashing, intelligent and wonderful son. He recently started a new job and he moved from Alabama to Florida. Now he's only 2 1/2 hours from us and I couldn't be happier. Of course I'm proud as punch of him. Kids never grow out of your heart, even if they are adults. Anyway, I thought this was very classy and elegant but in a different way than yesterday's card.
I started with some SU Designers Series Paper that has kind of a watery etheral look. It has gray tones to it but also has touches of copper. I chose to die cut the dragonfly out of copper foil this time. I only used the detailed die, opting not to put the solid cut out underneath. I also die cut a copper foil oval and stamped the sentiment on a smaller oval. I took a handful of copper thread and loosely gathered it together and attached the oval panel on top.
Dad and I will be celebrating with you soon, Chris. Love you bunches!
