MFT Sketch Challenge 343

It's hard to believe it's the last day of July.  Where is this year going?
I've been having fun creating a card using the new card kit from My Favorite Things.  It has lots of floral images and a separate sentiment stamp sheet for every possible occasion.  I decided to use it for this week's sketch challenge.

Sketch Challenge 343 #mftstamps

I stamped the pretty flowers with silver metallic ink.  I thought it would be a great contrast with the other colors for this card design.  The flower centers are stamped in black and the leaves are die cut from black cardstock.

I cut a 1" piece of black and white striped paper to run down the side, which ties all the elements together.  Finally I heat embossed a sentiment with white embossing powder on black cardstock.  I arranged the flowers in a loose oval shape to mimic the sketch and the card was finished.

The card looks much prettier in real life as it shows off the shimmer of the metallic ink.  It's a classic elegant card.  So that's it for me today.  See you next month!
