I was so busy with Camp Create last week that I didn't have time to participate in the weekly sketch challenge. So I'm back again with this week's card project. Here's the sketch.
And here is my adorable card.
It's impossible to imagine how many hours I spent on creating this. I started with a pink card base. Then I used a white watercolor panel that I cut with a stitched rounded corner die. I took a stencil with a subtle pattern and sponged some Spun Sugar Distress Ink to create a nice background.
I took another piece of watercolor paper and sponged Worn Lipstick Distress Ink over the entire surface. I deliberately left some places lighter than others. The ink reacts with water so that is where you see the lighter areas as I used a spray bottle to moisten the paper and then blotted it dry with a paper towel. Then I used the Stitched Heart Stax largest die to cut the shape. I backed the stenciled panel and the heart with foam pieces that ensures they will stay in the right shape.
The bunnies were stamped, colored and cut from the Sweet Forest Friends set from MFT. Don't you love their pink ears and noses? I used Doodled Blooms for the flower and leaves. The More Essential Sentiments set has 26 sentiments to choose from. I thought this one went well with the heart theme. I finished the card with a sparkle pen on the flowers, bunnies and sentiment strip.
All you readers of my blog, and you know who you are, the sentiment on this card reflects my feelings for you. Thanks for supporting me and don't forget that comments are always welcome.
