Happy 50th Anniversary

I made this cute card for relatives celebrating their 50th anniversary.

I used a portion of some paper printed with stars that had a resist effect.  I used gold Delicata ink and covered the entire panel.  I wasn't entirely happy with the result so I used some Fossilized Amber Distress ink to darken up the background.  Then I added the gold sparkly ink on top of that.  The effect was a deeper gold with a hint of shine.

I colored and cut out these cute owls along with the arrow heart.  I covered the owl eyes and heart with Glossy Accents to give them a raised look and set them aside to dry.  I decided on a non traditional pink card base and added a strip down the side accented with gold foil cardstock.

The inside of the card featured big 5 and 0 numbers in the same gold cardstock.  (Forgot a photo.)  So cute and it matches my blog images perfectly!
