MFT Camp Create Stunning Shadow Stamping

It's the last day of camp and I'm sorry to see it come to a close.  However, I think today's challenge is the best.  It's called shadow stamping.  Here's how it works.  Using a dark cardstock, stamp some solid images with white pigment ink.  Then overstamp the same images but slightly offset using a dark ink that matches the cardstock.  Viola.  Shadow stamping.

I would call it stunning!  This was so simple to do, after I messed up several card panels of course.

I finished the card by die cutting the love word 3 times and gluing it to the center of the card.  I mounted it on a white card base.  This is actually a 5" x 5" card, which I think adds to the elegance of the project.

Here's today's badge.  And because I've entered all 5 camp create challenges I have the opportunity of winning $150 of My Favorite Things products.  It would be great!

MFT Camp Create Divine Dry Embossing

Day 4's challenge for camp at My Favorite Things has to do with dry embossing.  I've done this technique before but not in the way it was demonstrated by the MFT designer.  I wanted to give it a try and besides it's fun to experiment with new ideas.

I used masking paper to create a frame on my paper in which I could do some ink blending.  I used Dried Marigold and Worn Lipstick.  After applying the ink, I removed the mask frame and was left with a nice white area.

I stamped and colored a favorite Pure Innocence girl and then fussy cut her.  I popped her up with some foam and stamped the sentiment right on the inked panel using my Misti tool.  So cute!  Here's today's badge.

MFT Camp Create Remarkable Resist

I love the soft look and simplicity of this card.  The resist technique is basically where you create a design with melted embossing powder and then ink over the top.  The embossed area resists the ink and doesn't take the color.  It gives a stunning effect with not much effort.  I think this leaf design is universal for so many occasions.  I let the large sentiment shine with a pretty scalloped oval edge.

MFT Camp Create 3 Awesome Ombre

It's the second day of camp and the challenge is to create a card using the ombre technique.  The color is varied from light to dark across the panel.

I created this fishtail design and used 2 colors of Distress inks to give the background a watery look.  I've been wanting to use Lawn Fawn's Fintastic Friends stamps and dies.  It was really easy to color in the cute fish and tank and after die cutting them I was ready to put the card together.

Here's my badge for today.

MFT Camp Create 3 Monochromatic Magic

I'm back for another week of camp.  Camp Create sponsored by My Favorite Things, that is.  Today's challenge is to create a monochromatic card.  The definition is "having or consisting of one color or hue."

I used a Project Life card for the sentiment panel.  This made it easy to put the card together since most of the work was in the ready made card.  I chose some complimentary paper colors, to make it monochromatic.  I die cut the heart border 5 times and stacked one on top of each other.  I then pieced the inner shapes with the contrasting color.

I earned my camp badge for today!
