Love Airplane

I've been wanting to make a card using Stampin' Up!'s new stamp set Sky is the Limit and finally today was the day.

Although planes are thought of as a manly sport, I think girls like to fly too, except maybe we want a reclining seat, a bathroom and snacks.  Am I right?  This is actually a thank you card to a special couple so I needed it to serve for both genders.

I stamped the plane in black ink and then colored it with Real Red and Crumb Cake markers.  I had been struggling with a background paper but when I ran across this tiny red stripe, the design all came together.  I die cut clouds from Crumb Cake cardstock and used Lawn Fawn's sentiment and tiny heart.  And to show you how mistakes can have good results, when I cut the red stripe paper for a second card I had the paper turned opposite of what I wanted.  I used it anyway and think its ok.

See you soon for another card creation.

  4. They are a great way to sample the Grand Canyon and are the most affordable option. Airplane Landing tours are a lot of fun because you can get out of the plane and see the canyon from ground level.
