Paper crafting is a passionate hobby for many people, including me. I have bought and used lots of Taylored Expressions stamps and dies and made some pretty awesome cards. TE is starting a challenge blog to encourage card making and then to share the cards as a way to connect to those we love. They are calling it the Share Joy Challenge. You can find all the information at their new blog HERE. Each week there will be a new challenge in which participants can use either a sketch or a color combination to create a card. New challenges are posted each Thursday.
I'm always up for a challenge so here's my card.
Such a bright and happy color combination. Just right for a hot summer like we're having in Florida. I threw black in there for the circle sentiments. I tried stamping them in gray but it wasn't striking enough. Probably because of the solid background.
I used a stamp and die set called Take A Spin. It was a stamp of the month at TE for March 2014. I cut several circles from the different card stock colors and stamped the designs in gray on white. I inserted the small pieces making a unique color wheel. The tiny arrow is one of the dies so I cut it from the gray paper and added a small brad for the center. The arrow actually moves and points to different areas of the circle. Very cool.
Of course it's pointing to all the hello's. Such a great card to give and share with someone just because they need some joy. A big reason that I make cards is to share with those I love and let them know I'm thinking of them.
This was so much fun. I can't wait until the next challenge is announced. You will be seeing lots of cards I'll be making so that I can share the joy!
