Fall Comes Tomorrow

I've lived in the sunshine state close to 2 years now.  I've heard people say one of the things they miss the most from the north is the change of season, particularly fall.  I admit, there is nothing like seeing a hillside of orange, red and gold.  I miss picking up the perfect leaf and pressing it into a book.  I suppose it's a way of preserving the season into the long winter months.  Now, that I don't miss!  Since tomorrow is the official calendar date of fall I'm showcasing a special card I made.

I am evaluating a new paper for stamping and coloring.  It's Strathmore Bristol smooth surface paper.  It's heavy weight and acid free.  And it is SMOOTH.  Really nice.  I stamped a leaf design all over my piece.  I colored in the leaves using my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.  It's so easy to blend the colors using these.  You don't even need water.

They almost look real.  So pretty!

I heat embossed the sentiment using Golden Glitz Delicata ink.  It's the perfect finishing touch.

So happy Fall everyone!
