Working in Pairs

I love to work in a clean space.  But I'm messy when I'm creating.  Shock, I know.  But it's true.  I have drawers open, paper strewn everywhere, buttons, glue, ribbon, stamps and ink all over my desk.  Sometimes I can't find my scissors.  It would be heaven if the craft fairy would come in when I leave my desk and do the dirty work but alas it's not to be.

Sometimes when I get out all my supplies I decide it's just as easy to make two cards as it is one.  That's the case today in the cards I have to show you.

I used the same sketch for both and even the same cardstock for the base.  I chose complimentary papers and then got to work on all the flowers.  It's been quite some time since I've used these flower dies and I must admit I need to get them out more.  It's easy to layer them, which I did using vellum along with the 2 colors.

I added some pearls to the center and stamped a sentiment on the main panel.  I added a scallop border edge and some matching ribbon and bow.  So here's to being messy to create something beautiful.  Now, any volunteers for clean up duty?

  1. I love the flowers they are so pretty. Not sure which card I like better maybe the pink flower one what a great couple of cards. I'm sure the place is only messy for the time it takes you to make the cards. I have seen your work space and it is always neat and tidy.

  2. These cards are gorgeous. And I love the colors they turned out wonderful. What flower dies did you use.

  3. Love the colors!!! The flowers are so sweet.
