This is a special card for my special friend. There's a lot more to it than it seems on the surface. The flowers were stamped on watercolor paper and then embossed with white powder. I used some watercolor paints to get the variation of colors on each flower and leaf.
The paint runs smoothly over the embossed ink so the design remains true. So pretty! After drying, I used matching dies to cut out the flowers and leaves. Because I used watercolor paper it resulted in a more sturdy embellishment. I popped them up with foam dots in a pleasing arrangement.
I covered all the flowers and leaves with a clear Wink of Stella glitter pen for a subtle but surprising shimmer. No one would ever know how much work went into making this card, but I know. It's the same thing with friends. You have to put work into the relationship, but it is so totally worth the beauty of a special friend as a result.
