This is the season for lots of events. I recently got to participate in honoring a young man as he moves forward in his education. He graduated to a school of higher learning. But the celebration was also for another milestone in his life. He was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. This is a very important step in the life of a Christian and not to be taken lightly. A careful study of the Bible is required before baptism. A person must have a personal relationship with our Creator, Jehovah. You must also have faith that God is going to follow through on all the promises for the future. One very important requirement is that you must dedicate your life to Jehovah. That means you agree to give him your exclusive devotion forever. This may sound hard but it's really easy because when you know and love God, you are moved to serve him without holding anything back or setting any limits in worshiping him.
His parents hosted a nice party and we all had a wonderful time. Here's the card I made him.
I kept it pretty simple. I love the color combo though and all the geometric lines.
The outside reflects the graduation aspect of the celebration and I wrote a personal message on the inside. Noah, I am very proud of you and the progress you have made as a young person. You can go as far as you want and reach as high as the stars. You are a great asset to our congregation, your parents and Jehovah. That is certainly reason to celebrate. Congratulations!
