Case #42

I try to create a card every week using a sketch provided by a Stampin' Up! team member.  I missed the last few so I wanted to this week.

The photo doesn't show off how pretty this paper is.  It's called Gold Soiree and comes in a package of 12 sheets, 2 of each of 6 double sided designs.  Each sheet is 12" x 12" and features Metallic Gold ink.

I used one pattern as the background panel and layered a strip of the printed scallop paper on top.  I die cut an oval from the Oval framelits in white cardstock.  I sponged it with Pistachio Pudding ink.  I cut some flowers and leaves from matching cardstock colors and also sponged them.

I layered the floral elements on top the oval and added a white Candy Dot to the center.

I cut a small strip of gold striped paper from the same pack and added a sentiment stamped in Calypso Coral.

This is such a bright happy card.  It's amazing that in the creative process, sometimes an idea comes together in your head and the finished product ends up entirely different.  Beautiful!
