It's no secret to anyone who knows me that I LOVE hearts. Of course, this month I'm seeing hearts everywhere so its all inspired me to create some cards.
I found this cool die at Simon Says Stamp. It's called Danish Hearts and comes in three different sizes. I hand colored small sections of white cardstock with Distress Inks. Then I used the dies to cut out the two pieces of each heart. You have to take your time to get the paper all woven together but the results are fantastic.
Beautiful, right? I also die cut the word Sending three times and glued one on top of another to create a bold scripty word. Of course I had to add some pretty sequins and tiny silver hearts.
I realized while I was putting the card together that I had a need for an anniversary card, so with the right sentiment, it worked. I even die cut an envelope liner with some pretty matching paper.
Even though the weaving was a bit tricky I think the card is so unique that I'm sure I'll be making more.
