Hi. I'm back today with a card that I made for Sugar Pea Designs challenge. The theme is, You're So Puny. I am so far behind in keeping up with all the challenges and cards I want to make so I'm just getting this in under the wire. All of the Sugar Pea Design stamps have at least one sentiment that fits this category of being puny. The one I chose is a stamp set called Rice Baby Rice. The image is a cute sushi chef who is serving up SOY much fun. Ok, I took that phrase right off the description of the stamp! Very puny indeed. So, here's my card.
I told you he was adorable!!! I took a rustic approach to this card, which if you know me is quite a departure from my personality. However, I'm pretty proud of how it looks. Of course the stamped image is the star. I colored him on some ivory paper and inked the edges. I used a stripe paper behind and mounted everything on a kraft card base. I added some twine around the top and made a couple of fishtail banners. The sentiment certainly fits the puny theme.
"Have a Rice Day"
I stamped it in black and used a couple of wood quotes to emphasize the words. So cute.
A new challenge comes out every month. Can't wait to see what the next theme is. Maybe I will get a card made before the month goes by.
So, here's hoping you are having a "rice" day. Hope you enjoyed my card. I love comments, by the way. Hint, hint.
