Home Sweet Home

There are lots of quotes about home.  Home is where the heart is.  Home is wherever I'm with you.  I'm on my way home.  I can't get home soon enough.  You get the idea.  However we think of home, we usually connect it to family.  Most of my family is scattered all over the country.  But we stay connected.  My grandson recently moved into a new apartment.  Yes, they are homes too.  I haven't seen him in a couple of years and miss his sweet smile and his good hugs.  I say I love him.  He says I love you more. Here's the card I made to send him.

Now, my grandson is 21 so he is not into cutesy but he knows me and how crafty I am so I'm sure he won't mind.  I found this older pattern paper and thought it was perfect for the background.  I used a Taylored Expression stamp and paper pieced the roof.  The fence is a Taylored Expression die and looks nice with the brown house.  Hey, I'm TRYING to be a little masculine here.  I colored the rest of the house and stamped the sentiment at the bottom.  The sun is cut with a Lawn Fawn die.  I used Wild Honey distress ink on some of the layers.

He lives in Las Vegas and I'm sure he will appreciate that big sun!

So Zachary, my guy, grandma misses you and loves you and thinks of you.
