Class Day 6 - Waterpainting

It's so much fun to learn new techniques and then create a project that surprises you.  That's what happened when I learned how to water paint and emboss.  I stamped a beautiful flower outline image in Versamark and embossed it with snow white powder.  It creates a smooth, raised effect that is perfect for water coloring or painting.

I used three colors of distress inks and washed the entire paper with water to create a gradient effect.  So pretty!

All I added was a die cut word in black.  Pretty simple but very dramatic.  This would be a good project for making lots of cards at the same time.

I'm really just starting to explore this artsy technique and I must say, I think I will try it again.

  1. I LOVE this! It's so pretty! Great job, Grandma! =)

  2. I have just spent some time browsing your blog and had to comment on this card. It is beautiful. LOVE the colors and design. :)
