Card #2 for Cutting Edge Blog Hop

cuttingedgeYou only have until Monday at 11:55 P.M. PST to enter the Cutting Edge Blog Hop hosted by Pretty Pink Posh.  This is my second card that I'm submitting and I think it's very sophisticated and elegant.

I started with a base layer of natural white cardstock from Stampin' Up!.  It's a heavy cardstock that has flecks of wood fibers embedded in the paper.  It's a good choice for the project I made.  Most of the other papers are from Bo Bunny, the Gabrielle Collection.  It's full of artsy papers with lots of brown and aqua and has several butterfly images.  I used the Stitched Duo 2 die from Pretty Pink Posh as the main panel and then built the layers from there.

The sentiment is stamped on a vellum piece, 2" x 3" and is from the Heart-2-Heart #7 mini set from Papertrey Ink.  The stamp was actually one long sentence but if I used it like that it wouldn't have fit on my small vellum piece.  I cut between the "miss" and the "you" to make it more usable for my needs.  I must be evolving as a stamper because I would never have been brave enough to do that in the past.

I wound some bakers twine around the vellum and added a wood button and bow.  The finishing touches are the metallic bronze and tangerine sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.  Oh my, the selection Paulina carries is off the charts!

I'm very excited to be participating in this hop.  There are lots of great companies who are providing some prizes.  Dare I hope to win something!
