I needed to make an anniversary card for a special couple and I decided to do it all fancy.
I started with a white card base of 6 x 6. I layered a mat of red glitter paper on top. Don't you just love how you can buy paper like that now? I used some specialty dies from Spellbinders and cut 4 corners of the white card stock. The next layer is a white mat set on the diagonal with another layer of glitter paper.
A matching square flourish die sits on the red paper and finally a sentiment stamped on the diagonal to complete the card. I added a double satin bow and a red velvet brad and then put tiny white pearls on some of the flourish pieces.
Since I was mailing this card I wanted it to arrive in pristine condition. I wrapped the entire card in tissue paper and then slipped it into a padded envelope. I know the couple who celebrated their 42nd anniversary last week really enjoyed the extra touch of a handmade card.
Beautiful, Vicki! That die is gorgeous. Such a pretty card.
