Papertrey Ink's Make it Monday #108

I made a pretty card for my son who recently moved to a new apartment.  I wanted to acknowledge how proud of him I was so I got to work on something special.

Since he's a guy I didn't want to go too feminine so I started with a background that I inked in several colors.  I used a combination of peach, coral and orange and sponged the white cardstock until I was happy with the sunny effect.  This technique fit in perfectly with Papertrey Ink's Make it Monday challenge this week.  I used a wonderful stamp set called Cutting Garden and the matching dies to finish the rest of the card. I really love the flowers in this set.  You get 2 different flower types in 2 sizes, buds, stems and leaves.  Thank you Dawn McVey!

This beautiful sentiment is included in the set too!  So, head over to Papertrey Ink's blog to see what projects everyone is doing.  Thanks for stopping by.
