Daydream Calendar

Today I'm featuring a calendar project that I will reveal one month at a time.  My next 12 posts will show a calendar page I have designed with products from

 Daydream Designs

So, let's get started.  I am using a calendar stand I bought several years ago.  Some of you may have one just like it.  Mine is plain wood and unfinished.  Hopefully, by the time the calendar is finished, I will get it stained or painted.

The pages hang from a couple of rings and are 6" x 6".  The clear plastic sleeves are two-sided with an opening on one of the sides.  Here is my January page.

I printed this on pure white cardstock but I put a tint on the photo so it would show up in my post.  I started with a plain background measuring 6" x 6".  That is the exact size of the inserts for my calendar stand.  I used the 2013 mini calendar files from Daydream Designs.

I recolored and resized the January page and then I was ready to create my design.  I chose the beautiful cardinal, evergreens and holly images from the Deck the Halls Color Set.  It has 17 images for only $5.95!!!  And there are coordinating borders, an outline set to color yourself and papers to match all the images.

You see the small cardinal in the lower left corner?  I flipped the original image to face the opposite direction and resized it to fit perfectly.  I also added extra evergreen branches to the outside of the wreath.  I absolutely LOVE how it turned out.  I finished the January page in about 30 minutes.  And, if I need another copy to use for a gift, I just print it out!

I hope I've inspired you to hurry over to Daydream Designs and start your calendar projects.  Stop in tomorrow to see February's page.

  1. This is really beautiful, Vicki! I love how it turned out too! I've been working on calendars like crazy, and this one would make a fabulous gift. Love the 6 x 6 with that calendar so you have lots of space for images. Turned out fabulously! LOVE it!
