So now, on to my polka dot project. I have been seeing these french fry boxes on several of the blogs I visit. I've been dying to make some. I used THIS template. I traced it onto some medium weight cardboard so it would hold up and be a permanent part of my craft supplies. Daydream Designs has some NEW digi papers and images and they were perfect for this project. I printed off three sheets of paper for my 3 boxes. Darling Dots-Brights in small purple. Darling Dots-Dazzle in small teal. And Winter Chill-Funky Circles. I love these bright, fun colors for winter projects. Aren't they gorgeous!
I used Whisper White cardstock to print the papers. I then traced the box template onto the printed paper. It's easy to cut out the box and fold the sides in. I used some sticky tape to attach the sides so that it would be stronger. I wound some twine and ribbon around each box. Ok. Now here's the really easy part. I opened the "Sisters" image in Snowbabies color digi set, resized it to fit on the front of the box, added some words from the Snow Fun sentiment set, and printed it. It's a cinch to copy and paste my snowbabies and sentiment so that I could have 3 images exactly the same.
Ok now, what girls or young women or even ladies wouldn't love some "me" time with cute manicure sets like these.
I got all these little goodies at the dollar store. What a diva day I'm going to have with my friends!
These are SO easy to make! I printed the papers, the images and put these 3 together in about 30 minutes. Wouldn't they be wonderful favors for a winter party. Let's see. I'm imagining candy kisses, andes mints, (the green wrapping paper would be perfect) chex mix, mini pretzels, etc., etc., etc.
Don't forget to comment on each design team members blogs to be eligible for one of three prizes given away by Daydream Designs. The winner will be announced later this week. YOU might be creating projects with these fantastic papers and images!!!
