I have a sweet card today. I haven't made a baby card for a while and was just itching to use the set, Vintage Bitty Baby Girl. It's a digital stamp and paper set from Daydream Designs. This is only one of several baby sets they have. Please check out the store. You are guaranteed to find several stamps and papers you must have! Here's what I started with.
These are the papers and little onsies I printed right on my computer! It's so easy to add the images into a Word document and then resize them for whatever project you're working on. Don't you just love the soft colors of this set? I love all the papers and had a hard time deciding what combination to use. Finally, my card idea began to take shape.
I knew I wanted to use the awning element. I chose Perfect Plum for the cardstock base and alternated it with one of the polka dot pattern papers in the Bitty Baby set. I used a Stampin' Up! punch, Word Window, to cut out the strips for the awning. I glued them to a Perfect Plum piece and let the strips overhang on the top and bottom. It was easy to fold over each strip and, an awning was born. I glued it at the top and it naturally hangs away from the front.
The cute little flowers are included in the digi set, along with a couple of other elements. I elongated them for a funky look and then flipped one of them to create a mirror image. I purposely made the little onsies slightly different sizes to look more realistic. They are already colored so it was really easy to cut them out and place them between the flowers. Of course I had to use the cuter than ever bunny paper and the bottom portion of the card was perfect for that.
The sentiment is one of 21 that is a part of Bitty Baby Sentiments. You will have plenty of baby phrases for all your projects. You can see the one I chose if you look at the first photo in this post.
Glad you stopped by today!
