Make it Monday #77: Watercoloring with Ink Pads

I'm showcasing a card I made for Papertrey Ink's Make it Monday challenge.  Dawn McVey demonstrated how to watercolor a stamped image using our ink pads as the color medium.  I chose to ink up Strawberry Patch as it is reminiscent of summer and also seemed to be good images for the challenge.

I had a lot of fun using the ink pads, water and a small paint brush to color the berries, leaves and flowers.  I like the rustic, natural effect of the process.  I chose to stamp one of the leaf designs as a background for the card.  Here's a close-up.

It was fun to step out of the box and do something different.  I will have to give this technique a try again soon!
