Papertrey Ink July Blog Hop

Hello.  I'm just getting under the wire on my card submission for Papertrey Ink's July Blog Hop.  It's because I've been working on this card almost all day!  The creative juices were flowing and it took some time for the final project to come together.  You can find the inspirtation photo there.  So, here's my interpretation of the fun summer colors plus flowers challenge.

As you can see, I went wild for felt flowers this time.  I used Melon Berry and Harvest Gold and die cut them from the Lovely Layers set.  I alternated colors and used a Melon Berry button for the centers.  I then stamped another flower from the set in Harvest Gold and cut them out.  The leaves are Simply Chartreuse cardstock and the die cut leaves from The Sweet Life stamp set.  The sentiment on the front is also from The Sweet Life.

I scored a double line at the top of the card so that I could have room for all the embellishments I wanted to put inside.

The card is laying on the side and the top is actually on the left.  See the two score lines?  Now for the cute inside.

Ok, on white cardstock I stamped the leaves from Turning A New Leaf stamp set using Simply Chartreuse.  The die cut little folder is cut from Melon Berry cardstock and has a pattern paper from the Melon Berry Pattern Pack.  A Topnotch Twill ribbon finishes it off.  I cut a tag from the same paper pack along with a clear overlay.  I stamped the sentiment from the Lovely Layers set.  The tag pulls out!

Wouldn't you like to be getting this card?  I think it is so fun!

Thanks for stopping by.

To answer your question on my post- I'm in a planned neighborhood in New England so the whole thing has that cute picket fence. You should see how cute it looks when we have rain so the flowers actually bloom! :)
