My project for the Gingerloft theme this time is an accordian fold card album. It's a small album you can carry in your purse or backpack. The theme is fancy folds and I thought this fit perfectly. The front and back covers are made from chipboard coasters that have been covered in patterned paper and the edges were sanded. The inside pages are 3 1/2" by 10" and 3 1/2" by 7". If you want more pages then cut both papers 3 1/2" by 10". Or even add another piece to really make the album hold all your summer photos.
Then the fun part begins. Decorate each page as you want, adding areas for journaling or photos. One of my pages has the digital image, "Time for Beauty" from Gingerloft that I colored to match my papers. By the way, the paper I used is from Cosmo Cricket. It's called Evangeline. I purchased it from my local scrapbook store, Scrapbook 'N Memories. Let's give a shout out to the small local stores and support them as much as possible. Let's face it. The bigger craft stores may have more inventory but the smaller stores have more selection and way better customer service. Thanks Courtney!
Here's the cover of my album. As you can see, a pretty ribbon is attached to the front and brought around so a bow can be tied on the side. This keeps the pages neat and is also a fun element to open when you are showing it to your friends and family.
Thanks for looking and check out all the cool images at Gingerloft.
