Papertry Ink Challenge

There are a lot of reasons to love Papertrey Ink.  I'm going to focus in on one of them today with their June challenge.  All the details are available on their BLOG.  You must hurry because submissions will close as of 11:30 pm EST.  The challenge is to create a project based on the inspiration photo below.  Such pretty colors and textures to play with.

I think my card fulfills the challenge requirements perfectly!  I used a sunny yellow cardstock for my card base and a light turquoise to set off the main features of the card.

The stamp set I used is called "Natural Beauties".  I used several tones of yellow and yellow green to make the flowers, which I cut out and mounted on foam along with some leaves from the same set.  I absolutely love the sentiment which can be used for so many occasions.  The fun part, and I think really unique idea, is the pleated paper ribbon I made.  I adhered a patterned paper down the middle of some yellow cardstock and cut it out with a die.  I then used my scoring tool and experimented with fold lines to be able to pleat the paper.  I love how it turned out!

The joy of papercrafting is being able to create something that no one else has.  I want all my card recipients to feel special.  So thanks Papertrey Ink for challenging me!
