Teacher's Gift

It's almost the end of another school year.  Even my grandkids are not in school anymore, but I am really partial to teachers and aware of all they do.  Certainly a special group of individuals!  I put together a card to thank ALL teachers everywhere.

Of course I had to use primary colors for the cardstock and the coordinating papers.  This cute MFT  girl fit the theme of my card.  It's one of MFT's older cling stamps called "Here's the Story" from their a la mode line.  I also love to read and this stamp could be used for so many card projects.  Hum, in fact, I'm thinking of a journal cover for a list of books I've read.  Wow, it would be full already!

I stamped her with Memento ink in red Ladybug.  After I colored her with Copics, I cut out the image and popped her up with dimensionals.  The sentiment is from another MFT stamp set called Teacher's Pet.  The little something I have for my favorite teacher is a pile of books that she will hopefully enjoy reading over the summer.

The inside lets my teacher know how special she is and how appreciative we all should be of the hard work and effort involved in this special profession.  The book the card is sitting on is "The Yearling" by Marjorie K. Rawlings.  A classic everyone should have in their book collection.  So let's celebrate TEACHERS!

By the way, I have no particular teacher in mind for this gift.  I plan on going to the local elementary school and just picking out someone!
