Gingerloft Challenge - It's a Zoo

I guess I'm feeling "springy".  My mind is on cards with that theme.  It's a Zoo is the challenge this time with Gingerloft.  I've used the digital image called "tweet tweet".  What could be cuter.  A big puffy nest with a pair of birds.

The birds remind me of the yellow finches at my feeder this winter.  They stand out in the pine trees and white snow.  After printing the image on white paper, I colored it with Copic markers.  You can't really tell but I used 5 different markers for the tree branch.  I sponged the edges of most of the layers with distress ink.  I chose this paper to go with the colors in the image.  So Saffron is the yellow cardstock.  The patterned paper is from Basic Grey Origins, Hot Stone.  It's an older paper but perfect for my card.  I love the ribbons on the side.  It gives the card a whimsical feel.

This would be a nice card to cheer up a person who is ill, or even just to say hello.  Come visit me again soon!
